The
Walesbilt
Hotel
Est. 1927 · Lake Wales, Florida
A Lake Wales landmark is coming back to life.
Opened in 1927 and the tallest building in Lake Wales, the Walesbilt — originally the Dixie Walesbilt — is one of the last surviving skyscrapers of Florida's 1920s land-boom era and a listed National Register landmark. Restoration St. Louis, a developer specializing in the restoration of nationally significant historic buildings, is carefully bringing it back to life as a hotel — a new chapter for downtown Lake Wales.
